It's January 24th: National Peanut Butter Day, so you really can't do without it. De Pindakaaswinkel has been putting peanut butter on the pedestal it deserves for 5+ years, but on January 24th, it can all be even more exuberant! But why does National Peanut Butter Day actually exist? Are you seriously asking that question? Every year, we Dutch people eat more than 20 million jars of peanut butter! Actually, quite a bit if you ask us, that's just over 1 jar per person per year. Just like our loyal Peanut Bosses, we only use one jar for a maximum of one week. They'll probably be talking about our XXL 1.7L jars . But, National Peanut Butter Day. Although it was already an international holiday, it was never taken up on a large scale in the Netherlands. Until De Pindakaaswinkel got involved.

National Peanut Butter Day 2017

The very first National Peanut Butter Day! In 2017 we came to the aid of all the hurried office workers: from our first store in Amsterdam we handed out generously spread peanut butter sandwiches to everyone who had left home in a hurry without having breakfast. They could even get a cup of coffee. A big upgrade on the kiosk if you ask us! The media also thought this was a great idea and Chiel and Michiel were on the biggest radio stations and news channels all day long! POWnews also came by to take a look.

National Peanut Butter Day 2018

In 2018 we also handed out delicious spreadable sandwiches. This time with a big upgrade: there was even a peanut butter fountain! But in the meantime we collected everyone's wildest peanut butter dreams. The wildest ideas came along but one was the most fun. Bathing in a peanut butter bath ! National Peanut Butter Day 2019

In 2019 , we circulated a petition with the aim of making National Peanut Butter Day an official holiday including a day off. Despite all the signatures collected, it has not yet become a reality. This dream lives on! We also gave away a large peanut butter package to a lucky winner.

In 2020 we saved our energy for the big things that would happen in 2021. Of course we still spoil you with a free surprise jar with every order!

National Peanut Butter Day 2021

The Pindakaaswinkel has been around for 5 years! That had to be celebrated. During a livestream full of fun events, a record number of jars of peanut butter were given away. The main prize? 10 years of free peanut butter . But 20 other lucky people also won 1 year of free peanut butter! We are a little jealous of that...

National Peanut Butter Day 2022

This year k we were surprised with perhaps the most delicious flavor EVER! Together with Sylvana IJsselmuiden we created the peanut butter flavor 'Sylvana's Sûkerbôle'. A deliciously sweet peanut butter flavor with Frisian sugar bread. Thousands of Pindabazen knew how to enjoy this!

This year, De Pindakaaswinkel in Hoog Catharijne will be transformed into a real peanut butter playground. With an impressive magic show and the best games and challenges for people of all ages.
